This may be the largest annual all British car event in the US with over 800 cars and bikes registered in 2006. In addition, there was a full weekend of vintage racing on the track, sponsored by the Society of Vintage Racing Enthusiasts (SOVREN) who had an additional 200-plus vintage race cars on display and racing.
Needless to say, this is a really great weekend of car-related activities. We started off with an all day car show on Saturday. Other activities on Saturday included a Land Rover sponsored Jungle Ride for charity. Participants were treated to a hair raising ride around a nearby motocross course.
The main event of the weekend is the car show. There are hundreds of cars parked on the field to see. That means a lot of walking but it also means a lot of fun admiring what's on view.
Saturday's events are crowned by a great BBQ dinner before we all go our separate ways for a good nights sleep. Sunday morning comes early and there's a great All British Swap Meet on the menu.
What a great day! There were lots of parts for sale, cars for sale and lots of other things to see. When we went home we were well satisfied that we had attended another great all British event.
